AWS Announces Strategic Alliance With Honeywell

Gaithersburg, MD - AWS, Inc.  is very pleased to announce completion of a strategic alliance with Honeywell. The alliance will result in continued and accelerated growth of AWS' exclusive Worldwide School Weather Network.

Honeywell is a global leader in control technology that benefits millions of people and organizations, including all segments of the education marketplace. Under terms of the alliance, AWS AirWatch weather systems will be integrated with Honeywell building control systems. Honeywell's nationwide sales organization will sell integrated AirWatch weather systems at the highest levels to school districts, complimenting AWS' already strong educational sales effort.

"The alliance elevates the WeatherNet concept to a new level. For our exclusive broadcast partners, it means significant added value for their WeatherNet programs. Network growth resulting from Honeywell sales efforts will allow our partners to feature local conditions from more communities and neighborhoods, solidifying their market position as THE source for live, local weather." comments Bob Marshall, AWS President, "Working with such a highly regarded company as Honeywell is not only rewarding, but testimony to the quality of AWS' staff, products, and services, and our reputation in the educational community."

The integrated AWS/Honeywell system will capitalize on AWS' latest Internet technology. AirWatch weather sensors will provide direct input to Honeywell building control systems. AWS' highly regarded educational software will now track outdoor weather conditions and building energy usage. The energy efficiency of school buildings will be improved and unparalleled real world learning opportunities for students and teachers will be provided. AWS' WeatherNet program is now active in more than 100 TV markets with more than 3,500 participating schools.
