AWS InstaSports Generates $1,000,000+ for Client Stations

AWS Convergence Technologies, Inc., the world leader in delivering hyper-local convergence products for broadcast television and the Internet, is proud to announce their client Stations have exceeded the $1,000,000 mark in revenues generated with InstaSports.

Most notable is Young Broadcasting, Inc., which launched InstaSports this fall and, through its group of stations, has already attracted $1,000,000 in sponsorships from corporate partners, including Taco Bell, Wells Fargo Bank, St. Mary’s Hospital, Goewey Dodge, TDS-Metrocom, Vanderbilt Sports Medicine, Coca-Cola, Motorola, and Dominion Resources: Virginia Power Corporation.

Young InstaSports stations include KWQC-TV (Davenport, IA), WTVO-TV (Rockford, IL), KLFY-TV (Lafayette, LA), WLNS-TV (Lansing, MI), WTEN- TV (Albany, NY), KELO-LAND TELEVISION (Sioux Falls, SD), WATE-TV (Knoxville, TN), WKRN-TV (Nashville, TN), WRIC-TV (Richmond, VA) and WBAY-TV (Green Bay, WI).

In addition, KNSD, the NBC-owned station in San Diego, CA has secured a partnership with Equinta.com, an on- line real estate broker, and Education in America, an adult Vo-Tech School.

InstaSports is an interactive, Web-based program that enables high schools across the country to instantly report and manage comprehensive team and player information and statistics via the Internet and local television station web sites. AWS television partners can download up-to-the-minute line scores and box scores in time to air using full-screen or lower-third ticker formats. InstaSports, widely considered the nation’s largest database of current high school sports information, enables television stations to extend their sports brands on air and online, while generating new revenue.

InstaSports’ toll-free Call Center (18SPORTSNEWS) enables coaches to instantly report results and scores to InstaSports television partners in time for air. A national InstaSports editorial network also provides on-air/ online hyper-local story content. In addition, InstaSports is underwriting station-sponsored fundraisers for local high school athletic programs.
