These stations have partnered with AWS to implement the School Weather Network™ in their DMAs.

AWS will install fully-automated weather monitoring stations in local schools and science centers across each viewing area. Each station has a full array of meteorological sensors, classroom curriculum and interactive computer software. Participating schools will access weather data to enhance hands-on applications in science, math, geography and computer skills. Participating TV stations will broadcast localized conditions from the sites during their weathercasts. The real time weather data will also be prominently featured on the station web sites.

AWS pioneered the concept of remote weather station networks for broadcast and education in 1992. Today 82 television broadcasters, including 19 of the Top 20 markets, air the AWS School Weather Network. Over 2,500 schools, Museums and Science Centers participate in the network world wide.
