School WeatherNet Program
AWS is best known for its award-winning school program that provides
live weather data to teachers and students in over 5,000 neighborhood
schools. The data is processed by WeatherNet software and applied
to daily curriculum to aid individual learning in the real world
and to help educators meet National Education Standards.
AWS WeatherNet + Program
With more than 100 local broadcast partners and 5,000 neighborhood
school weather stations across the nation, the School Weather Network
is the largest automated weather station network in the world. Each
WeatherNet System provides instant online and on-air weather direct
from each school location to its local broadcast affiliates. Both
broadcast stations and schools benefit from AWS innovative
combination of live weather and real-world educational curriculum.
Live Weather Stations
A complete weather station is equipped with both an external rooftop
WeatherNet monitoring system and an InstaCam.
A WeatherNet System is a real-time commercial weather monitoring
system. It measures outdoor and indoor temperatures, rainfall, relative
humidity, light intensity, wind speed and direction and barometric
pressure.
The AWS InstaCam is a high-performance outdoor camera that views
outside weather conditions and shows live and time-lapsed weather
images.
The WeatherNet System delivers weather data via the Internet and
to web sites, television stations, Nextel wireless phones and the
AWS WeatherBug.

The award-winning AWS WeatherBug offers live neighborhood
weather content with a single click of the mouse. The WeatherBug
has 3 million users.
Once activated, WeatherBug connects with AWS network
of more than 5,000 reporting sites to instantly link users to local
weather conditions, forecasts, storm warnings and alerts, radar
and weather cam images.
AWS WeatherBug Online Weather Network
The Online Network the largest weather network in the world. It
is four times larger than the National Weather Service with 5,000
neighborhood schools and 100 broadcast stations across the United
States.
AWS WeatherBug BrandWrap
The largest Interactive Advertising Unit at 625x433 on the web.
The BrandWrap hugs the surface of the WeatherBug, allowing advertisers
to wrap advertising messages around live weather. The BrandWrap
gives advertiser the ability to target specific demographics: gender,
income, age, occupation, users at home and at work.
